Augmented Reality (AR) in Interior Designing | Interior Design using Augmented Reality | Augmented Reality in interior design education

Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory(sense of smell). Augmented reality (AR) allows users to place 3D models of furnishing in a real environment to have look and feel of the room when it is furnished.

As interior designers you can give real experience of look and feel of the space design expected by the client so that any number of designs changes or iterations can be done by the client before actual execution of the works.

As interior designer you can give a valuable service to client with use of these technologies which will make you more competitive in the market. Also since the results are visible there are more opportunities for a designer to experiment on the design and see the immediate impact.

The use of AR & VR technologies you can show the client on how their space will look like, thereby increasing the sale of interior designs.

AR/VR helps to remove some of the fear and anxiety that a client might have about committing to a design plan that they are not sure or in a state of dilemma.

With use of these technologies you reduce the coordination issues with MEP services if any and you will be reaching out to the customer needs close to 100%.
